Barred Owl
The Barred Owl was perched on a vine maple branch about 4 meters above the ground. It seemed unconcerned with my slow, quiet approach. From previous experience I knew that the snap of a twig would scare the bird away. The owl remained very still with the exception of its head which it turned slowly and smoothly to monitor my movement.
