Ecoregion System

Ecoregions System Features: The system uses nested units based on landform and does not reflect changes in altitude. Used by: Ministry of Environment, Lands and Parks Major Division of the Ecoregion System include: Ecodomain - global scale Ecoprovince - continental scale Ecoregion - regional level Ecosection - local A total of 10 ecoprovinces are recognized within British Columbia.
