Red-eared Slider Egg Laying

Red-eared Slider Egg Laying
One of the small miracles that you may be fortunate to witness is a female turtle laying her eggs. This is no simple task.

The turtle must find a suitable patch of earth in which to lay her eggs, dig a deep cyclindrical hole with her hind legs, lay a clutch of 9 or so eggs, cover them with soil and leave no trace of their presence. With the task completed, the turtle must then make her way back to the safety of the pond or Lagoon.
