Bumblebee The appearance of buzzing, round, and furry Bumblebees is an important sign of Spring's arrival. They are amongst the first insects to applear along with Spring's flowers and are important flower pollinators. Only the queens produced at the end of the season survive the winter. The young queens coming out of hibernation must find a new nest site, lay eggs, and gather food to nourish the first batch of developing female workers. Field Guide Entry: ---- Link to be added |
