In Stanley Park
A common species of mid summer around vegetated areas of Beaver Lake
Males much more likely to be encountered than females

Eyes a dull blue
Thorax stripes are two-toned, blue-green above to yellow below
Paddle-like appendages at the end of the long, narrow abdomen
