Cooper's Hawk This crow-sized bird is a forest predator. Note the long tail. The Cooper's hawk specializes in catching small forest songbirds. The long tail gives the hawk an edge in manueverability as it pursues its prey through the maze of forest trees and branches.       Field Guide Entry: Cooper's Hawk
